RTK Base Station: Mounting Issue & Nut Replacement Guide

I. Explanation of the problem: RTK base station cannot be tightened & Manufacturing defect

Problem Description
Due to manufacturing tolerances, some RTK base stations experience partial seizing and excessive resistance when screwed on. This is a minor manufacturing defect of the device. Please never force it to turn further.
Important Note on Installation
When installing the RTK base station, align it with the nut at the end of the post and turn it clockwise until it connects. If you feel significant resistance during assembly and the part cannot be turned further, stop immediately. It is essential to avoid overtightening – this would damage the precise thread structures inside the base station and lead to irreparable damage.

II. Instructions for Replacing the Replacement Nut for the RTK Base Station

If the RTK base station is blocked or encounters unusual resistance during assembly, replace the supplied spare nut by following these steps. After replacement, the device can be assembled and used without problems:
Dismantle the old nut
If the old nut can be unscrewed by hand, simply remove it by hand.
If manual removal is not possible, use pliers as an auxiliary tool.
If the nut is seized and cannot be turned, use a flat-head screwdriver or a similar tool for removal.
Assemble the new nut
Take the new replacement nut, align it with the thread of the RTK base station post, and screw it in clockwise. After replacement, assembly will be very smooth and can be carried out as usual.
Reinstall the device
After replacing the nut, reinstall the RTK base station according to the standard procedure – the device will then be fully operational.
